He is the co-founder of The Trinity Forum and served as Senior Fellow and Vice Chairman of the Board from its inception in 1991 until 2004.

Os directed the first seven Trinity Forum seminar curricula and many other projects during that period and was a regular Moderator at Forums in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Born in China during World War II, he remained there until 1951 when the Communists forced most foreigners to leave. Since then he has lived mostly in England, Switzerland, and the United States.

Educated in England, he did undergraduate studies at the University of London and postgraduate studies at University of Oxford, where he graduated with a D.Phil in the social sciences from Oriel College.

Since 1984, he has lived in the Washington, DC area. He was a Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies and then a Guest Scholar and Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution. From 1986-1989 he was the Executive Director of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation, one of the drafters of the Williamsburg Charter, and co-author of the public school curriculum Living With Our Deepest Differences.

He has written or edited more than twenty books, including The American Hour, The Call, Time for Truth, Long Journey Home, Unspeakable: Facing Up to Evil in an Age of Genocide and Terror, and The Case for Civility: And Why Our Future Depends on It.

His deep concern is to bridge the chasm between academic knowledge and popular knowledge, taking things that are academically important and making them intelligible and practicable to a wider audience, especially as they concern matters of public policy.

Known for his logic and wit, Stuart Briscoe has been preaching since he was just 17 years old. Now, edging close to 80 years young, Stuart shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, he continues to proclaim the Gospel on nearly every continent.

In 2000, Stuart decided to step down as senior pastor of Elmbrook Church in Milwaukee, but he remains a minister-at-large as he has retooled his mission back into global outreach. He and Jill began serving as Elmbrook’s ministers-at-large, going where they were most needed to support under-resourced churches and missionaries. Today, the Briscoes spend most of their year away from home, bringing encouragement to God’s servants throughout the world and adding new Bible teaching resources to Telling the Truth.

Stuart has written more than forty books, preached in over 100 countries and has received honorary doctorates from a number of schools and universities. Stuart and Jill have been asked why they don’t slow down but instead keep going so much and so far. Stuart’s reply? “Because we’re invited.”

KEYNOTE: “Evangel-ism or Evangel-is-in”

Sharing the gospel is not something we choose to do or a structured form that we are part of or not, it should be something that we are. The Gospel (the Evangel) resides inside us in the person of Christ. This is the root, foundation, and hope in any interaction with those outside of the Kingdom.

Dan Thomas has a special heart for the Fox Valley having spent four years working as an associate pastor for 18-30s at Green Bay Community Church in Green Bay.

Dan and his wife Sarah and two daughters Keelan and Niah enjoy living life in community with a bunch of 18-20 somethings at Timberline Lodge Bible School and Discipleship Center where Dan is the Principal. Timberline is a ministry of Torchbearers International.

This is a biblical, relational and simple strategy that incorporates the three basic elements of prayer, care and share in order to serve the least and save the lost.

How can you invite God to link modern-day believers with old-timers in such a way that some long-lasting trail blazing happens? If you desire to reach farther, this workshop will help you secure your footing in ancient theology, engage your senses in contemporary testimonies and excite your spirit with time-tested truths!

Pastor Paul Franzmeier has served for 18 years as the pastor of Faith Christian Church in New London, Wisconsin. Paul received his Th.M from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. But even better than a degree, he met and married Melissa in 1986. Paul and Melissa have three daughters: Brenna (a freshman at the University of Minnesota), Tressa (a junior at New London High School), Carissa (a 7th-grader at New London Middle School), and one son, Regan (a third-grader at Lincoln Elementary School in New London).

Paul simply loves to restore old things, is always trying to figure out how things work, and can create anything out of cardboard.

Workshop: “Christianity and the Problem of Suffering”

The “New Atheists” tell us that Christianity is not credible because the world is filled with pain and suffering. They ask, “How can a so-called ‘good God’ allow so much pain if He really exists? But it’s not just atheists who ask these kind of questions.

The people whom we rub shoulders with every day are perplexed as to know as to how Christians can be so hopeful in a world filled with pain. This workshop will explore the problem of evil and suffering from a biblical perspective and give today’s church leaders some insight into how we might respond.
